Georgios Gatos studied finance, specializing in the commercial exploitation of innovative ideas. He began his career at the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Florida, and on his return to Greece worked as a company consultant, advising technology companies on aspects of development and fundraising. He later worked as an investment analyst with a venture capital fund, and has coordinated the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of the International Hellenic University.
He plays an active part in groups – formal and informal – promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, such as the Open Coffee Thessaloniki and TEDxThessaloniki.
