Odysseas Cartalos has earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering and a “Habilitation” from the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble, France. He has worked for about 10 years as research engineer in the French Petroleum Institute (IFP), where he managed R&D projects with special focus on technology transfer to the international oil&gas industry.

Since 1998 he works in the management consulting business and today he is partner with LOGOTECH SA. He has advised many entreprises and organisations of the public and private sector on issues related to strategic and business planning, organisational restructuring and modernisation, as well as human resources development.

Since 2006 he works in the area of innovation, which includes development of policies to strengthen national/regional innovation systems, as well as support of private initiatives in the area of innovative entrepreneurship. He has directed projects dealing with the design and the evaluation of research and innovation programmes on behalf of the European Parliament (ITRE Committee, Directorate General for Parliamentary Research Services) and the European Commission (DG Research, DG Regional Policy, DG Entreprise, DG HR, Europaid). He has, also, gained extensive experience on issues dealing with the exploitation of new technologies, as well as the cooperation amongst acedemic reserach institutions, businesses and investors.
