Michael Tsaoutos was born in 1965 and grew up in Volos. He lives in Athens with his wife and three daughters. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
Since 2010, he has been General Manager at the EPSA soft drinks company, which markets its products all over Greece and in 15 other countries. EPSA has introduced significant innovations in recent years, including organic soft drinks and light soft drinks with stevia sweetener.
Before moving to EPSA he spent many years with the Lambrakis Press Group (DOL), beginning in 1988 as a technology journalist reporting on Apple products for the RAM magazine. He also served as editor of the BHMARAM supplement, and the magazines bit and inLife. He was a member of the team which launched in.gr, and was responsible for subscriber services to the portal as Director of NetOnLine. From 2003 to 2010, he was General Manager of Shop21.gr, the e-shop of DOL. He remained an editorial consultant on tech issues to the magazines RAM and HiTECH until recently, and maintains as keen an involvement in Apple products as his other commitments allow him.
He was a member of the national skiing and water skiing teams, and represented Greece in the Camel Trophy 2000 and Land Rover G4 Challenge. In recent years, he has taken up long-distance running and the triathlon.
