LAFKAS-KONSTANTINOS_CROPKonstantinos Lafkas has a strong presence in the corporate world, serving for more than 20 years in high and C level managerial positions. He has been involved in a wide range of companies, from international multinationals (Shell, Alfa Laval) to Greek multinationals (M.J. Maillis, Sunlight) and from Greek family owned (BItros SA) to utilities (EPA Attikis). He is experienced in different organizational structures; however, most of his career is with matrix and multicultural organizations.

The last ten years he has been working as a Managing Director, in Alfa Laval and then Sunlight, where he led restructuring and developing initiatives. The latest years travelled extensively in emerging markets, developing partnerships and cooperations in a value creation and export-oriented context.

During his career he has spent most of his time travelling all around the globe and dealing with cultures ranging from Far East to the Middle East and Europe to America and Africa. He has led teams in Mergers and Acquisitions projects and in negotiations with governments with complexity not only in business model level but also in an interpersonal one.

He has an Msc in Mechanical Engineering, major production economics, (National Technical University of Athens), an MBA from IMD-Lausanne and an MSc in Decision Sciences, Athens University of Economics. In addition, he has participated in managerial trainings in high ranked Universities like IMD (Program for Executive Developement), INSEAD (Young Managers Program) and Ashridge (Strategic Global Sales and Marketing).

The last years his main interests include the development of an entrepreneurial mindset and context. He is actively involved, as the founder of MicroGlobals, in Corporate Effectuation and NLP for business theory and implementation. He has been also participating in start up initiatives and pitching activities in Silicon Valley and holds the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate from Stanford University.
