Dimitris Philippou is a graduate in Electrical Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace, and a graduate of the Vocational and Technical Teacher Training College (PA.TE.S. SELETE).

From 1991 to 1999, he worked for Coca-Cola HBC as Maintenance Manager, Project Engineer and Head of Production at the Volos and Schimatari plants, Technical Director of Bottling at the Rhodes plant and Head Office Project Director, with responsibility for the plants in Bulgaria and Armenia.

From 1999 to 2013, he worked for the resin manufacturer PET VPI, member of the Frigoglass Group, which was acquired in 2006 by the Spanish La Seda de Barcelona Group and renamed Artenius Hellas SA. At VPI/Artenius Hellas, he worked as Technical Director (1999-2002), Plant General Manager (2002-2013) and a member of the Board (2007-2010).

From 2007 to 2010, he was Operations and Maintenance Network Leader for the La Sede de Barcelona Group’s plants in the UK, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey.

From 2007 to 2012, he was a member of the Board of the Association of Industries in Thessaly and in Central Greece (AITCG), and from 2010 to 2013 he served as its General Secretary.

As a representative of AITCG he has worked as a mentor for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of the University of Thessaly.

From February 2013 to September 2013, he was Director of Innovation for the Thrace Plastics Group.

Since then he has been an Industrial Efficiency Consultant for Thrace Plastics, an Equipment Reliability Consultant for IFANTIS SA, and an Industrial Processes and Innovation Management Consultant, in the processing and services sectors.
