{"id":8620,"date":"2014-04-15T11:23:12","date_gmt":"2014-11-26T13:29:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ekinisilab-sev.gr\/?page_id=8620"},"modified":"2015-01-21T11:35:24","modified_gmt":"2015-01-21T11:35:24","slug":"spiros-fotinos","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/ekinisilab-sev.gr\/en\/spiros-fotinos","title":{"rendered":"Spiros Fotinos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-6383\" src=\"http:\/\/ekinisilab-sev.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/spiridon-foteinos-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"spiridon-foteinos\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Spiros Fotinos has been working in the pharmaceutical sector for forty years, having studied Pharmacy at the University of Athens, and Chemistry at the University of Thessaloniki.<\/p>\n<p>He then pursued more specialized studies, mainly in the USA, concentrating on new technologies in Drug Delivery Systems.<\/p>\n<p>He began his career as a pharmacist with the company Minerva Pharmaceuticals SA, and then joined Lavipharm, where he still runs the Group\u2019s R&amp;D Division.<\/p>\n<p>He has been involved in many areas in the Lavipharm Group, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completion of construction and commissioning of Lavipharm\u2019s production unit in his role as a Technical Director.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for development and production of a wide range of pharmaceuticals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As founder and head of Group Research, Development and Innovation, he focused on a number of areas, such as Drug Delivery Systems including thin-film transdermal technologies, osmotic delivery and other controlled-release internal delivery systems, topical systems etc., OTC, skin cosmetics, functional foods and special-purpose diet supplements.<\/p>\n<p>He is the holder of a significant number of international patents.<\/p>\n<p>He is also a member of many scientific societies: Society of Greek Chemists, Controlled Release Society, New York Academy of Sciences, Member American Association for the Advancement of Science, Member of AAPS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spiros Fotinos has been working in the pharmaceutical sector for forty years, having studied Pharmacy at the University of Athens, and Chemistry at the University of Thessaloniki.
