Vasilis Kastanis was born in 1962. He completed his studies in Engineering Economics at the University of Munich and worked for a year in the logistics department of BMW AG, as part of the practical experience for his dissertation.
He began his career in 1990 with Mercedes Benz Hellas SA, where he held a position of responsibility in the Representatives Network Development Dept. until March 1998.
In April 1998, he undertook the task of developing activities of the Siemens Group in Bulgaria, FYROM, Albania and Cyprus, stationed in Athens, while sometimes attending Board Meetings of the subsidiaries and agencies based in those territories.
His current duties as Director of Business Development involve intercompany coordination for the undertaking of projects (One Siemens Concept), as well as the development and implementation of Group procedures for excellence (Project Management@Siemens).
He speaks Greek, English and German.
