Athina Oikonomidou is a Business Development and Technology Transfer Consultant. She has been involved as a consultant and entrepreneur in a whole range of business ventures, with the main emphasis on biotechnology and the life sciences.
She works as an advisor to various research centres and individual university laboratories. She has worked as Head of Operations & Tech Transfer at BSRC Fleming, which manages the Centre’s intellectual property portfolio, negotiates licensing agreements and supports the founding of spin-offs.
She has taught courses in basic principles of technology transfer as part of postgraduate programmes of Health Science institutions, and is an expert evaluator of European Union programmes. She also works on designing financing instruments for the maturing of technologies from proof of concept to seed funding.
She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MBA from the IESE Business School. She has worked as a consultant for Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and as CEO of CIL Hellas Ltd, a direct sales company. She is one of our coaches and offers her services to SEV’s business incubators.
